Hi.

Welcome to the blog. I document my adventures as a student in art, food, wellness + style. Hope you have a nice stay!

How to do Vegas When You're Under 21

How to do Vegas When You're Under 21

I recently made my first trip to Las Vegas, a city known for flashy resorts, extravagant shopping, casinos and bar scene. I am always 100% down to travel somewhere new, so although I could not participate in the 21+ activities Vegas has to offer, there are plenty of once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to take advantage of while in the show-stopping city.

Shop, Window Shop, Try on Expensive Clothes then Put Them Back

Vegas is known for its lavish shopping scene including designer brands Gucci, Channel, Dior, Loui Vuitton and tens more. People travel long and far to visit premium fashion fronts that can only be found in places like New York City and London. While that's not much attainable by the average wanderer, it's still quite entertaining to window shop and look in awe of such (lavish) lifestyles.

Don't panic! The Las Vegas Strip is home to plenty of, should I Say more 'reasonable' retailers such as Marshalls, The Gap, H&M, Ross and Adidas. No matter your budget, Vegas has shopping for all (literally, there are thousands of shops to visit)!

Spa

If you're staying at a resort, there's a pretty big chance a spa and salon is accessible during your stay. Many hotels also offer spa treatments to those not lodging in their facility, so hop on google and look up some spas!

Facials, massages, blowouts, and manicures- the estheticians have pretty much got you covered! If you're too young to gamble and enjoy the nightlife, an afternoon at the spa is a perfect way to vacay without breaking the law.

Lay Out Poolside

Despite the overly fancy shopping and self-care treatments, hanging out beside the pool is truthfully one of the best ways to spend your trip! Soaking up the sun was undoubtedly the highlight of my first Vegas experience. Most pools offer fancy virgin drinks, so you don't need to worry about feeling left out!

Note: some pools may not let you in if you are under 18 or even 21 so be sure to book a minor-friendly resort if needed.

Breakfast in Bed

While I did not execute this seemingly brilliant idea, I can only imagine that indulging in room service while watching your favorite movie in a giant hotel bed feels as glamorous as it sounds.

Make a night of it! Enjoy a fancy dinner

Nothing is classier than putting on some wedges and actually doing your eyeshadow for a night on the town! Whether you go for a five-star restaurant or dine at a small cafe, you can't tell me it's not the most empowering feeling to walk down the street in your mini dress and sun-kissed skin. Power to the heels!

Cirque Du Solei

It would be a tragedy to experience Vegas without seeing a show. The famous acrobatic circus performances find their home in Las Vegas including “O” and “The Beatles LOVE.” These talented dancers and Olympic level athletes perform jaw-dropping sequences. This unique form of entertainment is only around in certain places, and I could not recommend taking advantage of it enough!

Tourist Attractions

Apart from the luxurious designers, the Las Vegas Strip has one-of-a-kind places to see such as the M&M World, Hershey Store as well as the nightly Fountain Show, a Ferris Wheel, Roller Coaster and more!

So if you’re hesitant to hit up Las Vegas given your age or choices regarding the drinking scene, don’t worry! You can plan your trip around pool days, circus shows and retail therapy. This is Vegas baby!

All the love,

Anna. x
