Weekly Eats Two: Hawaii
This is where I come to share my latest munches. Hoping to fuel some meal time inspiration and make plates everywhere more colorful!
Day 1: I always pack a number of airplane snacks to get me through my travels. Protein bars, dried fruit and nuts are a few examples. RYTHYM is one of my favorite brands for 100% vegetable chips. I snacked on their beet chips on the flight.
Day 2: Fresh Hawaiian smoothies! Our daily trips to Juice 101 located on The Big Island included Enter Sandman (banana, yogurt, macnut butter, chocolate, nut milk) and the smoothie of the day Perfecto.
Day 3: Pan-seared ahi tuna with sesame. Homemade with locally caught fish. The tuna in Hawaii is like no other.
Day 4: Beach-side restaurant located in the Kona area, Island Lava Java. I enjoyed the vegetarian risotto. One of my favorite dishes while on the Island!
Day 5: Lava Lava Beach Club coconut shrimp with a side of coconut rice and slaw. Delish!
Day 6: Virgin Lava Flow Pina Coladas. A pina colada + strawberry!
Day 7: Last stop at Juice 101. This time I tried an Acai Bowl with berries, spirulina, rice milk, hemp seeds, bee pollen, coconut, PB and honey. Getting those nutrients in.
